Below we summarise the main steps for marketing an EU fertilising product.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Verify whether my product fits into a Product Function Category (PFC)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>The first step is to check whether my product can be classified within a <strong>Product Function Category (PFC)<\/strong> defined in the FPR Regulation, such as:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Soil improvers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plant biostimulants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organic fertilisers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Each PFC establishes <strong>specific requirements regarding composition, nutrient content and labelling.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Check that the raw materials comply with the CMC<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>The raw materials used must comply with one of the <strong>Component Material Categories (CMC)<\/strong> defined in the regulation.<\/p>\n\n<p>These categories include, among others:<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-background is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"background-color:#b1d5c7\">\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:700;line-height:1.7\">Virgin substances and mixtures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:700;line-height:1.7\">Compost<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:700;line-height:1.7\">Digestate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:700;line-height:1.7\">By-products<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p>Each CMC establishes conditions related to the <strong>origin of the material, treatment processes, contaminant limits, REACH registration requirements, etc.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Apply the conformity assessment procedure<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>To market an <strong>EU fertilising product<\/strong>, the manufacturer must apply one of the <strong>conformity assessment procedures<\/strong> defined in the FPR Regulation.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Prepare the technical documentation and affix the CE marking<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Finally, the manufacturer must prepare the <strong>technical documentation<\/strong> for the product, issue the <strong>EU Declaration of Conformity,<\/strong> and affix the <strong>CE marking<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>From that moment onwards,
