Products already covered by horizontal regulations, such as toys or electrical appliances, are also excluded.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The regulation applies not only to <strong>new products <\/strong>but also to <strong>used<\/strong>, <strong>repaired<\/strong>, or r<strong>efurbished items,<\/strong> unless clearly marked as \u201cawaiting repair&#8221;.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is considered a \u201csafe\u201d product under the GPSR?<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>A product is considered safe when, under normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions of use, <strong>it does not pose risks to the health or safety of individuals<\/strong>. Safety assessments take into account factors such as:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><strong>Design<\/strong>, <strong>composition<\/strong> and <strong>manufacturing<\/strong><\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li><strong>Labelling<\/strong> and instructions for use<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li><strong>Interactions<\/strong> with other products<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Risk to <strong>vulnerable groups<\/strong> (children, elderly or people with disabilities)<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>For <strong>connected<\/strong> or smart products, <strong>cybersecurity<\/strong> aspects are also evaluated.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What does the GPSR mean for your business?<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The regulation introduces new obligations for all economic operators.
